CASE STUDY: INAUGURAL SEASON OF IAMFLAG

The Opportunity

Launching a new sports league comes with a long list of moving parts, including partnerships, schedules, registration, equipment, and uniforms. When IAMFLAG began preparing for their inaugural season, they needed a partner who could help them equip their league quickly and cost-effectively.

IAMFLAG’s leadership wanted to ensure that every registered athlete received a jersey, and they specifically needed a reversible option so players would have both a home and away jersey for every game.

The challenge was finding a jersey solution that met those requirements without pushing the league beyond its startup budget.

The Legends Approach

Our team worked closely with IAMFLAG’s leadership to determine the most practical path forward. In addition to supplying flags and field markers, we helped identify a jersey solution that would give the league maximum functionality while keeping costs manageable.

Rather than relying only on our typical vendor network, Legends actively sourced single-ply reversible jerseys from Resto, a supplier outside our normal network. This allowed the league to provide home and away jerseys in a single garment.

Production for the jerseys was handled by Resto, with a standard manufacturing timeline of approximately four weeks. However, when the league needed additional sizes after the initial order, Legends was able to quickly source and deliver supplemental jerseys in less than two weeks, helping ensure athletes had the gear they needed without delaying the season.

The Result

With the right equipment and uniforms in place, IAMFLAG was able to launch its first season fully equipped.

Each athlete received a reversible jersey, giving teams a clean home and away look without requiring multiple uniforms. Combined with the flags and field markers provided by Legends, the league had everything necessary to kick off its inaugural season.
